Happy New Year!

I just wanted to say

I’ll leave it to your capable imaginations which one was me at eleven o’clock when my brother came home with a bunch of friends -_- Nevertheless it was an alright New Year. Hope you all enjoyed it. And remember it.

The past year has been a hard one in a lot of ways but by God’s grace and with the help of Him and the incredible church family that he has given us, we made it! To live is Christ and to die is gain. And what gain it will be.

Anyway I just wanted to say Happy New Year. My prayer is that God will bless the year to you. I’m not asking him for ease or comfort, only that he continues to care and provide as incredibly as he has done this year. If you are looking for a book to read in 2015 or a devotional or even if you aren’t looking for anything, I would highly recommend that you get your hands on a copy of the Valley of Vision which can be found here or you can buy a copy on amazon or whatever. I leave you with strong encouragement to at least peruse and share with you this prayer from it, my prayer for you all for this year and always:

O Lord,
Length of days does not profit me
except the days are passed in Thy presence,
in Thy service, to Thy glory.
Give me a grace that precedes, follows, guides,
 sustains, sanctifies, aids every hour,
that I may not be one moment apart from Thee,
but may rely on Thy Spirit
to supply every thought,
speak in every word,
direct every step,
prosper every work,
build up every mote of faith,
and give me a desire
to show forth Thy praise,
testify Thy love,
advance Thy kingdom.

I launch my bark on the unknown waters of this year,
with Thee, O Father as my harbor,
Thee, O Son, at my helm,
Thee O Holy Spirit, filling my sails.
Guide me to heaven with my loins girt,
my lamp burning,
my ear open to Thy calls,
my heart full of love,
my soul free.

Give me Thy grace to sanctify me,
Thy comforts to cheer,
Thy wisdom to teach,
Thy right hand to guide,
Thy counsel to instruct,
Thy law to judge,
Thy presence to stabilize.
May Thy fear by my awe,
Thy triumphs my joy.
